$95,000 – $125,000

JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for all human resources functions of the Red Mesa Nation. This position works closely with tribal leadership and department directors to support recruitment, employee development, policy administration, compliance, and a positive workplace culture.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead all HR operations, policies, and employee relations initiatives
Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention programs
Ensure compliance with tribal, federal, and applicable state employment laws
Supervise HR staff and provide guidance to department leadership

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum five years of progressive human resources experience
At least two years of management or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
Previous experience working with tribal governments or Native American organizations
